Delete your Dayflower account

Updated October 3, 2026

How to delete your account in the Dayflower app, by Dayflower, and what happens to your data when you do.

Requests: app.dayflower@gmail.com

Delete it in the app

Open Dayflower, go to Settings, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account. Type DELETE and tap Delete for good. Your account and its data are deleted straight away and you are signed out. You need to be signed in, so do this before you uninstall the app.

Can’t open the app?

Email app.dayflower@gmail.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my Dayflower account”. We may ask you to confirm the request comes from you. We delete the account and its data within 30 days of confirming and reply when it is done.

What is deleted

Your sign-in and email address; your profile (name, pet name, photo, birthday, city and time zone); your pair and everything the two of you shared in it: messages, photos, voice messages, flowers, heartbeats, moods, events, reminders, money records, chapters, travel pins and photo strips; your shared location; your device’s notification registration; and the bug reports, suggestions and reports you sent us.

Your partner

Deleting your account also deletes the pair, so your partner loses your shared history too, the same as when either of you disconnects. Their account stays, and they can pair with someone again. Anything they saved to their own phone, such as a photo, stays on their phone.

What is kept, and for how long

If your partner reported a message or photo you sent, that report and the copy of the content attached to it are kept for up to 180 days so the report can be reviewed and any safety or legal issue handled, then deleted. Copies held in our service providers’ backups and security logs are not removed instantly; they are removed as those copies expire. Nothing else about your account is kept.

Only some of your data?

You don’t have to delete your account to remove things. You can delete your own messages in the chat (long-press, then Delete for both), remove photos, pins and entries where you made them, turn off location sharing in Settings, or disconnect your partner, which erases your shared history. To ask for anything else to be removed, email app.dayflower@gmail.com.
